Irish Folk Band THE DRUIDS from Kildare burst on to the music scene early in 2009. They now play to packed houses all over Ireland.

THE DRUIDS have now become a force to be reckoned with on the folk scene over the past year. They sing songs of Ireland which detail the history of our country, songs which for many years were frowned on. THE DRUIDS have resurrected these songs as they believe that these songs are as much part of our musical culture as the standard Irish ballads which are accepted.

Originally formed as a 3 piece band in 2008, now as a 4 piece band they continue to travel the world with their songs and stories of Ireland.

Cleveland Irish Festival , Cleveland Ohio USA

John O’Brien, Sr. gathered a group of friends and founded Cleveland Irish Cultural Festival in an effort to showcase, and thereby preserve the many traditions of his native land. Enlisting a group of incredibly dedicated volunteers, John realized his vision for Cleveland Iirsh Cultural Festival in 1983. During its two day run, that first festival drew more than 3,000 visitors.

The festival committee met soon after the crowds dispersed to evaluate and develop the event for the following summer. Their continual dedication has since produced one of the premier Irish festivals in the United States. The exponential growth of the festival stands as testament to this. In 1985 the event expanded to three days. In 1991, it finally outgrew the small wooded venue used during its first 9 years, and so relocated to The Berea Fairgrounds.

Cleveland Irish Cultural Festival has donated more than $770,000.00 to local and national charities since its 1983 inception, due to your continued generous support.
